Security, Insecurity for our ports

I was going to blog on the cancer in our society but after hearing more discussion on the port security/insecurity issue, I felt this was better.

OK, prior I said I did't have a nice fuzzy feeling on this port discussion. Now, I think I am getting butterflies on it.

I have recently heard and then read ... Last week, it emerged that both Dubai Ports World and Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., the seller, specified that an agreement by the U.S. government not to make a formal investigation as a condition for the deal. This is exceedingly odd; this is enough to persuade Congress to push the review. This is from the Washington Times.

If that sentence alone doesn't raise eyebrows nothing will. I truly wonder if Bush had created some deal with the Islamic's that we are not aware of. I can see the conspiracy now. I can personally see a understanding of information sharing from them. Then we turn over our ports, perhaps for money reasons on paper, as our part of the deal. Scary, very scary.

I had heard the frontrunner against this is none-other ultra liberal Schumer. I was really surpised to hear him speaking with Michael Savage last week on this same issue. Yes same dufus that regurgitating Haliburton. Geez, they just can't get a clue.

I was wondering why oh why would liberal democrats be interested in National Security now. According to Rush Limbaugh it has been decided the libs are concerned over the Unions for the ports. Since a new company is taking over, the current union will be in jeapordy. So the concern would be for the Unions not the security. Is it true? Who knows. I just don't trust any Demo Lib at all.

Did you know this story actually broke before the Cheyney gun accident frenzy? I guess the media thought it was more important to victimize Cheyney hoping he would step down rather than this security port issue. I just thought it was interesting the story was out there but only now picking up steam.

Regardless of Bush's reasoning, I can see this having initial severe issues. People are freaking on this due to the unknown. Perhaps we will learn more as this story grows and the American people start asking for answers.

The ports that are effected are located in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Miami, and New Orleans.

While I am griping, get some freaking guard down on the Mexican border and stop that cesspool as well.
